Quality Assurance Analyst III

NOTE: This role is on-site Monday through Thursday, located in El Dorado, AR Role Summary Work with the lead or Manager to create a high-level test plan for the applications or projects under test Ensure alignment with organizational goals and project requirements. Perform in-depth functional, system, and system integration test. Write quality, maintainable and efficient test scenarios, cases and scripts using ADO Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Functional leads, Managers, and other stakeholders on test and resolution Document and report bugs with detailed analysis, severity, and priority levels. Provide regular test progress updates to stakeholders through dashboards/reports. Identify areas of improvement in the QA process and implement best practices. Establish quality standards and ensure adherence across projects. Mentor junior QA analysts by providing guidance, training, and technical support. Work closely with development, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements. Provide feedback on potential risks and recommend solutions early in the project lifecycle. Leverage tools like ADO, JIRA, Selenium, TestNG, or similar for test case management, tracking, and execution. Follow established QA processes and methodologies via peer reviews. Collaborate and communicate test issues with technical and non-technical team members. Partner with Business Analysts and Users to leverage test systems. Execute test scripts and analyze test results. Participate in team meetings to better under the test solutions. Key Skills Technical: Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile, Water and Sprint methodologies Experience with API testing concepts and knowledge on tools like Postman or SoapUI Any Financial modules, Mainframe, JDE experience is a plus Front End or Middle tier experience Azure DevOps, Jira, or any QA Management tool is a plus Soft skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Deep understanding of various testing methodologies (Functional, System, System Integration Test and Regression). Proficient in writing, executing, and maintaining test cases, test scripts, and test plans. Basic knowledge in test automation tools (e.g., Ranorex, Selenium). Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI). Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) is a plus Skilled in defect tracking and management using tools like ADO or other tools Ability to analyze root causes, prioritize issues, and provide clear, actionable feedback to development teams. Experience identifying inefficiencies in QA processes and implementing improvements. Advocate for best practices in quality assurance and continuous improvement. Mentoring junior QA analysts and fostering knowledge-sharing within the team. Effective task prioritization and delegation to meet project timelines. Ability to work closely with development, product, and business teams to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities. Strong communication skills for reporting test progress, risks, and results to stakeholders. Quickly adapts to changing project requirements, tools, or methodologies. Establishes good relationships with departments and earns their trust and respect. Pushes self and others to act needed to get things done.
