Are you passionate about teaching and empowering professionals to excel in cutting-edge cyber environments? Join our team as a Technical Instructor , where you'll play a pivotal role in training a diverse DoD audience of range engineers to operate the world’s largest cyber range—the Persistent Cyber Range Environment (PCTE). This role does require a TS/SCI Security Clearance upon hire. Position Overview As a Technical Instructor, you'll design and deliver impactful training experiences, both online and in-person, to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate complex cyber environments. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong instructional abilities, and a commitment to fostering student success. You'll also assist in course evaluation and contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials. Key Responsibilities Course Delivery: Lead engaging training sessions on technical topics, including virtualization, range creation, databases, identity and authentication services, and networking, through virtual, in-residence, or hybrid formats. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with content developers to build and maintain course-related materials, such as virtual networks, frameworks, and other PCTE platform objects. Classroom Management: Apply effective techniques to foster an interactive and inclusive learning environment that maximizes engagement and participation. Student Evaluation: Track student progress, evaluate assessments, provide constructive feedback, and compile final reports. Course Maintenance: Regularly review and update training materials to ensure accuracy and relevancy. Program Improvement: Analyze the effectiveness of training programs and provide actionable recommendations for enhancement. Support Facilitation: Assist other instructors during course delivery to ensure seamless learning experiences. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). At least 3 years of technical instruction experience, preferably in IT or related fields, with expertise in virtual and in-residence delivery methods. Familiarity with IT operations, VMware vSphere/NSX, Microsoft OS and Active Directory, Linux, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Puppet/Ansible, and networking concepts. Proven ability to design and deliver technical training programs with strong communication and presentation skills. Preferred: Prior experience with PCTE or similar platforms. DevOps expertise. CompTIA Security or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification. Special Requirements Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance are required as per the government contract. Travel: Occasional travel, up to 25%, may be required as part of a mobile training team.
