Intern - Vendor Risk Management

Primary Purpose:

Gain knowledge and experience in the Enterprise Risk Management department, particularly Vendor Risk Management, while supporting the department to achieve goals and objectives focusing on vendor due diligence and compliance with regulatory requirements. Position offers exposure across all corporate lines of business (bank, mortgage, insurance, benefits, and vacations) specific to the oversight of third-party relationships.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist with the coordination of the vendor due diligence process including risk assessment, financial analysis, ongoing monitoring and contract management. Assist Vendor Management personnel with the maintenance of vendor files, program software, due diligence artifacts and related documentation. Evaluate financial statements for vendor companies (income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows) to assess company performance and trends by calculating key financial ratios and evaluating overall financial risk Facilitate line-of-business communications and workflow task management related to documentation and review requests. Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to FDIC oversight Summer Internship Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:

Must be at least 18 years of age or older Must have completed at least one year of college and currently enrolled in college Must be available to work Monday through Friday, May 19, through early, mid-August Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively utilize modern telecommunications tools Punctual and dependable Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Works well in a team environment Ability to successfully balance multiple priorities Desired Skills and Competencies:

Self-starter with a strong ability to work independently Attention to detail and research-oriented with an inquisitive and studious nature Physical Requirements:

Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally. Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time. Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
