Job Description

The Document Control Manager champion's document management across the program within the program team and with the external entities all while in alignment with the client requirements. This includes, but not limited to:

Managing a team: Managing the document control resources to ensure that the right skills and support is being provided to the team. Providing guidance on tasks and providing task clarity by defining Document control team members' roles and responsibilities, Support the onboarding/offboarding Monitors new hires and staff members leaving the Program to enable/disable their accounts in the EDMS/SharePoint systems. Provides guidance/direction as needed to the appropriate Document Controls Team members for escalation of document management issues. Supporting the Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT): Ensuring that stakeholders / users have the tools and training they need to comply with the document management guidelines. Ensure consistency, accuracy and processes documents in a timely manner. Provides ongoing Open Office hours training, along with one-on- one training for new hires, with the PMT, Consultants and Contractors as needed. Support external entities in their use of Amtrak Systems and Tools while also ensuring they follow the appropriate process Manage Tools and Systems for Document management: ensure the Distribution Matrixes are updated and manage roles/permission in the EDMS tools. Serves as the liaison and point of contact between the Construction and the IT team to ensure iPads and similar devices used in the field have the latest drawings/specs on them. Manage processes and procedures: Maintains and updates a consistent naming convention to ensure accuracy and expedient retrieval. This system will include taxonomy with content types/metadata. Ensure all team members are following the processes and procedures. Skills and Requirements

Preferred Qualification:

Significant experience in using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, Unifier, Kahua, In Eight, etc. Experience Level:

15 Minimum Years of Experience required.

Position Location:

Field Minimum 3-Day/week at Baltimore project office/site and fully capable of working remotely or from project construction field offices when applicable.

1.25 Years Full-Time Until March 19, 2026
