Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable
Procurement Coordinator
to support our construction procurement team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless procurement operations and project success.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Procurement team to source goods and services required for construction projects.
Prepare, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Communicate with vendors to secure quotes, negotiate terms, and monitor delivery timelines.
Maintain detailed procurement records, including purchase activities, expenses, and vendor details.
Assist in vendor selection, performance evaluation, and relationship management.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to prevent project delays.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
Support cost analysis and reduction initiatives for procurement processes.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather and fulfill project-specific procurement requirements.
Address and resolve procurement discrepancies, issues, and disputes.
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and applicable regulations.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1-2 years in the construction industry, with experience in procurement or purchasing preferred.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to manage budgets and purchase orders effectively.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor and team interactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle competing priorities.
Knowledge of procurement compliance standards and regulations.
Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to resolve issues efficiently.
Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details:
$28.00 to $32.00 per hour
