Our client is seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join their Cancer Center team. The Radiation Therapist will operate specialized equipment to deliver ionizing radiation treatments, ensuring safety and accuracy to treat neoplastic diseases or other therapeutic conditions. This role involves performing high-quality radiation therapy procedures, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring compliance with protocols prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
Responsibilities:
Safely and correctly operate radiation equipment to deliver therapeutic treatments. Perform pretreatment preparations, including simulations and the fabrication of treatment devices. Conduct daily morning quality assurance checks on linear accelerators and CT simulators. Utilize EMR systems to record treatment delivery, document patient positioning, and communicate care-related information. Schedule patients for simulations and treatments. Provide support and education to patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor under stress, resolving issues effectively. Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology team and participate in on-call procedures if needed. Must Haves:
Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Mexico. CPR certification required. Knowledgeable about operating methods and safety standards for equipment producing ionizing radiation. Nice to Haves:
3-5 years of relevant experience preferred. Ability to handle radiation sources safely. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Location:

$70,000 - $93,000
