Find your fit — and your future. The Director of Inventory Management is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of inventory management processes across the company. This role involves optimizing inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and minimizing costs while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role will collaborate with the cluster inventory management team and with various other functions including finance, merchandising, logistics, and supply to ensure fulfillment of LS&Co account demand. The Global Inventory Management Director conducts financial analysis to determine optimum profitability strategies for the inventory flow. These flow strategies are for both replenishment product and seasonal goods. This role will report to the SVP, Global MPIM. Key Results: 10 years of Inventory Management and/or Planning experience Global Inventory Management Performance: turn, inventory $, free cash flow, and unit positions against plan Supply Chain Performance: On-time delivery, air freight budgets, inbound prioritization, on-time PO issuance Delivering project plans related to inventory management capability upgrades and initiatives that are driving inventory efficiency & cash flow benefits. About the Job Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies tailored to the market demand and aligning with financial objectives of the company (Weeks forward coverage, agility programs, core vs seasonal approaches) Lead and oversee the inventory management team, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory operations. Optimize inventory levels to balance product availability with cost efficiency, considering seasonal trends and fashion cycles. Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan inventory needs for key programs. Implement new inventory capabilities, systems and technology transformation within inventory management scope to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Ensure visibility of total inventory globally including warehousing and retail and ability to analyze performance & benchmark as needed. Analyze inventory performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations. Visibility to turn, inventory $, free cash flow, and unit positions against plan. Manage relationships with supply and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of orders. Visibility to supply chain performance: On-time delivery, air freight budgets, inbound prioritization, on-time PO issuance. Develop and manage the inventory management budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Be an active member of the Global S&OP process focusing on inventory improvements. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the inventory management team. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in inventory management and apparel. Lead, coach, and develop team members to ensure performance objectives are achieved and ongoing career development occurs. This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs. The expected starting salary range for this role is $170,000- $225,000 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance, and business needs. Levi Strauss & Co.
