Director of Business Development: My client, a leading lithium battery manufacturer, is a provider of innovative solutions in the defense & aerospace industry, committed to delivering cutting-edge products and services to meet the evolving needs of our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team, driving growth and forging strong relationships within the defense sector. Position Summary: We are seeking a successful, highly motivated, and experienced Defense Industry Sales Executive to lead our business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales with at least 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years in the defense industry. Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) and aerospace sectors is a significant advantage. This role requires a dynamic individual who is organized, action-driven, and analytical, with a strong and demonstrated existing defense client rolodex. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with defense industry clients and the broader ecosystem (DoD & Government Primes), leveraging both the company’s and your own extensive rolodex. Build High Confidence Pipeline:

Proactively identify new business leads and qualified opportunities, driving growth in the commit pipeline each month. Proposal Development:

Prepare and present compelling sales proposals to potential clients, showcasing our innovative products and services. Contract Experience:

Demonstrate deep experience in contract creation, management, and execution to signature, including OEM supply agreements. Sales Quota Management:

Consistently carry and achieve sales quotas, demonstrating strong quota achievement over the past 3 years with year-over-year growth. Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams, including strategy, engineering, accounting, and customer operations, to ensure client satisfaction and successful product and service delivery. Reporting:

Provide regular sales performance reports to senior management, highlighting commit pipeline progress, close targets and forecasts, key trends or developments, and recommendations to close deals. Systems:

Regularly update and effectively leverage CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, applying a data-driven mindset to manage and analyze sales activities. Qualifications: Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in the defense industry. Industry Knowledge:

Strong understanding of current defense market dynamics, including customer requirements, industry trends, and regulatory environment; experience with the DoD and aerospace sectors is a plus. Quota Achievement:

Demonstrated quota achievement for the past 3 years, with consistent year-over-year growth. Recognition:

Membership in the Presidents Club or equivalent recognition for outstanding sales performance in recent years is a plus. Skills:

Strong organizational, analytical, and action-driven skills. Client Network:

Must have an extensive defense client rolodex. Travel:

Ability to travel frequently to visit clients. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related science fields. Compensation:

Base salary between $150-$175K commissions if meet quota total comp. $400k+ health, dental, life insurance for employee only with 4% match. Pay Details:
