Job Description

Purpose of Position:

To provide coverage for both adult and pediatric patients with communication and swallowing needs as well as evaluate and treat IP/OP Speech Patients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assesses/ evaluates, plans, implements, and provides individual patient care according to professional standards and departmental policies and procedures for swallowing, speech language, voice and cognitive-linguistic impairments Provide adult inpatient/ outpatient and pediatric inpatient/outpatient consultation and treatment service Service Acute care, acute rehab and Outpatient Minimum Qualifications

Level I 1. A Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university, including three-hundred hours of supervised clinical experience in speech pathology; and, 2. A New York State license in Speech Pathology; and, 3. One year of full-time, paid, professional experience within the last five years beyond the licensure in the practice of speech pathology in a hospital, health care, rehabilitative or related facility.

Level II 1. A Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university including 300 hours or supervised clinical experience in speech pathology, and 2. A New York State license in Speech Pathology, and 3. Holds the American Speech-Language Hearing Association certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology, and 4. Two years of full time paid professional experience within the last five years beyond the licensure, in the practice of Speech Pathology in a hospital, health care , rehabilitation or related facility.
