Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, playing an important role in helping to develop and execute on the companies’ near and long-term strategic vision. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and partnering with the other members of senior management, the CFO provides financial leadership, operational oversight, and strategic insights to guide the company in achieving its growth objectives. They are responsible for managing the company's financial health, ensuring a scalable financial and operational infrastructure, and supporting business decisions with accurate, timely, and relevant data and insights. The CFO must balance a high-level strategy with day-to-day financial and operational management emphasizing growth, scalability, and innovation.
Essential Functions: The CFO will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
Strategic leadership : Supports the execution of strategy and assists in driving well-defined targets; establishes metrics and systems that maintain accountability and manage risks. Serves as a financial and business advisor to the CEO and other members of the leadership team. Financial management : Leads the accounting, finance, and tax functions, ensuring adequate financial and non-financial controls. Develops and maintains an optimal capital structure, minimizing the cost of capital while maintaining financial flexibility. Drives initiatives for process improvement across the organization. Operational management : Manages key functional leaders within human resources, legal/contracts, and information technology, leveraging technology to support business goals. Budgeting & Planning : Leads a disciplined annual planning and forecasting process to provide analytical insight and direction to management decision makers. Compliance and Risk management : Ensures compliance with internal policy and external regulations. Develops and implements risk management strategies to safeguard the company and its assets. Strategic Growth and M&A : Partners with CEO and other executives to drive and execute on growth through strategic initiatives and acquisitions. Board of Director interfacing : Works closely with the CEO on regular interactions with the board of directors to keep members informed of important business activities. Team Leadership : Ensures the continuous development of high-performing teams to execute on the company's business goals and growth objectives. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, MBA, and a CPA or equivalent preferred. 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with 5 or more years in a CFO role. Prior leadership experience in a global SaaS, consulting, or professional services firm. Inspirational manager with experience in change management.
