SUMMARY:

The purpose of the

MAT Behavioral Health Therapistis to provide sound behavioral health treatment to patients struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use at Northern Nevada HOPES.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

*Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services. For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES. Accordingly, you hereby acknowledge and understand that if you are receiving services from a HOPES Behavioral Health provider at the time you are offered and accept employment with HOPES, you have the option of rescinding your acceptance of employment or finding a new behavioral health provider outside of HOPES before starting employment with HOPES.

Completion of a Masters level program and licensure (eligibility) in the State of Nevada as a LCSW orLFMTrequired. Prior experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders required. Therapeutic experience within the clinical setting required. Valid BLS required prior to hire, per HRSA compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

The

Medication Assisted Treatment Therapistpromotes behavioral and mental health as an important dimension of overall wellness by providing high-quality individual, group, family or couples therapy to HOPES patients. The MAT Therapist conducts substance use evaluations, biopsychosocial assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning, and consults with other team members as part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team, in alignment with a harm-reduction approach
