- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using proper grammar

Performance Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assume a positive role for public relations in representing the school system.
- Perform general secretarial duties such as:
- Typing and duplicating
- Word processing and editing
- Preparing correspondence
- Record keeping and filing
- Preparing reports, orders, and purchase orders
- Appropriate use of telephone
- Operate office equipment
- Performs the following secretarial duties specific to the assigned position:
- Maintain all attendance records on a daily basis
- Dispense all daily medications with documentation
- Administer basic first aid, contacting parent and/or school nurse if necessary
- Telephone receptionist
- Handle scheduling of parent/teacher conferences
- Greet and direct all visitors as necessary
- Handle teacher requests for supplies
- Distribute mail
- Request and receive records concerning incoming and outgoing students
- Maintain all forms and ordered clerical supplies
- Enter all disciplinary forms into the computer, and maintain and produce the corresponding reports for administrators
- Any other duties as requested by the school administrator.
- Demonstrates consistent attendance.
