Primary Job Goal: To accurately report all full-time and substitute bus driver payroll hours, process billing for schools and other outside agencies for bus and driver costs, maintain an efficient office, and assist the transportation staff.

Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit are met.
Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% lifting/carrying and 20% standing/walking.

Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate, associate degree or higher preferred.
- Experience in payroll bookkeeping involving automated systems.
- Minimum of three years experience in extensive payroll preparation
- Background in payroll/time sheet preparation.
- Must possess excellent computer skills and be knowledgeable with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

Primary Job Goal: To accurately report all full-time and substitute bus driver payroll hours, process billing for schools and other outside agencies for bus and driver costs, maintain an efficient office, and assist the transportation staff.
Performance Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare payroll for all transportation employees by collecting and organizing 250+ weekly timesheets from the dropbox.
- Calculate and enter employee hours, including overtime, for submission to the payroll office.
- Provide payroll data to the Director of Transportation for budgeting and send updated base pay hours to HR.
- Process new hire paperwork and recommendation forms for HR.
- Enter new employee information into Versatran and Munis systems.
- Create and maintain personnel files, including evaluations and essential documents.
- Track absences and enter them into Munis, issuing FMLA paperwork when necessary.
- Support employees with technology.
- Investigate and assist with managing workers' compensation claims by collecting videos, witness statements, and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate random drug testing and communicate with the third-party testing provider to manage employee listings and maintain drug testing logs.
- Provide backup support for AM and PM dispatchers.
- Manage purchasing for the department, including entering requisitions, maintaining office supply inventory, and reconciling purchase orders.
- Answer phone calls and assist transportation employees with HR and payroll-related questions.
- Process personnel recommendation forms for new hires, terminations, resignations, retirements, and position changes.
- Complete employment verifications for transportation employees.
- Manage purchasing for the department, including entering requisitions, maintaining office supply inventory, and reconciling purchase orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
