Principal IT SAP Functional Analyst - PowerPlan Direct Placement Salary range:
$132 - $226k/year Location : Oakland, CA Job Type : Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Join our team and make a significant impact on the energy industry! As a Principal IT SAP Functional Analyst - PowerPlan, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our SAP Electric Ops Work Management Delivery organization. You will configure, implement, maintain, and upgrade PowerPlan modules, providing expert functional analysis and support. Responsibilities:
Define standard processes in PowerPlan and drive adaptation in Finance and Tax areas. Analyze end-to-end complex business processes across all PowerPlan modules. Understand and anticipate business needs, leveraging PowerPlan capabilities. Identify and propose IT solutions to complex cross-organizational business problems. Evaluate current customizations and advocate for standard functionalities. Automate/optimize the PowerPlan system. Map business requirements to SAP S4 system capabilities and configure to meet requirements. Review design and technical specification documents. Perform PowerPlan configuration and quality review and testing activities. Qualifications:
10+ years of job-related experience in Information Technology. 8+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst in the PowerPlan system. Familiarity with CR, PM, Asset/ARO, Depr modules, and their data flow. Project creation, estimating, and approval. Collecting and classifying charges (derivations and true-up). In-service and completion of work orders. PowerTax and Tax Repairs. Creating checks and balances to prevent data issues in automated processes. Lease Accounting Module. Month-End Close Processes. PowerPlan Integration Tools. SDLC and Integration Best Practices/ETL processes. SAP experience (tables, structure, GUI, Hana, settlement process, integration impacts). S4HANA ERP Implementation and Upgrades. Accounting Concepts in Asset Management/Depreciation. Mass property accounting. Group depreciation. Various asset retirement methods. ARO accounting. GAAP vs. FERC Accounting Concepts. Interacting with both technical and non-technical team members. Communicating success/failure stories to management teams.
