Principal SAP Functional Analyst - PowerPlanPiedmont, CA - 3 days onsite per week (Tues-Thurs)
Position SummaryIn this role you are responsible for configuring, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading PowerPlan to provide system solutions that meet business requirements.
ResponsibilitiesBusiness Support and Consulting:
Define standard processes in PowerPlan and drive adaptation in Finance and Tax areas.Analyze end-to-end complex business processes across all modules within PowerPlan.Understand in detail the current and future business environment of the business organizations; effectively anticipate, identify, and fully meet the business needs using an integrated approach leveraging existing and new PowerPlan capabilities.Identify, propose, and influence IT solutions to complex cross- organizational business problems utilizing ERP capabilities; negotiate requirements and deliverables across multiple business and IT customers and organizations.Evaluate current customizations in the system to help business and IT partners understand risks and costs of customizing vs. using standard functionalities, advocating for using standard functionalities to lower future implementation cost and total cost of ownership (TCO) for solutions.
Functional Analysis:
Automate/optimize PowerPlan systemMap business requirements to SAP S4 system capabilities and configure to meet requirementsReview design and technical specification documents for alignment with business solutionPerform PowerPlan configuration and do quality review and testing activities
Requirements:
10 years of experience in IT, preferably all in SAPStrong experience with PowerPlan Adapter for SAP or similarLeadership experienceDesired:
Familiarity with CR, PM, Asset/ARO, Depr modules and their data flowExperience with the full lifecycle of SAP EAM projects, from creation and estimation through completion and month-end close, including integration with PowerTax and PowerPlan
