As a Senior Front-End UI Engineer at Samsung Ads, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing our advertising technology platform’s front-end components and user interfaces. You will ensure our products are highly performant, scalable, and visually engaging. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that empower our clients to reach their advertising goals efficiently and effectively. Role and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Front-End Development:
Design and develop responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing new product features, supporting existing implementations and working with product, engineering, and business partners on new innovations. Code Quality:
Set and maintain high standards for code quality, code reviews, and best practices within the front-end team. Optimization:
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, improve loading times, and optimize user experiences. Cross-functional collaboration:
Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, back-end engineering, and architects to define requirements and implement effective solutions. Cross-Site Collaboration:
Collaborate with peers and leaders across the various sites of Samsung Ads, driving cross-site efforts to improve Samsung Ads capabilities. Technology Evaluation:
Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies, tools, and best practices to ensure our tech stack remains cutting-edge. Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation for front-end systems and processes. Testing:
Ensure robust testing procedures and continuous integration to guarantee the reliability of our front-end applications. Skills and Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 6 years or more of proven experience as a Front-End Engineer in the ad tech or related industry. Experience building single-page applications (React, Typescript) with GraphQL or RESTful APIs. Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end libraries and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js). Strong expertise in test-driven development and ability to write automated tests (Jest, Karma). Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, NPM). Strong understanding of Agile methodology and leveraging SDLC tools to improve development CI/CD and testing efficiency. Experience with performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility is a plus. Knowledge of ad tech concepts, ad exchanges, and programmatic advertising is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred, Not Required Experience building Micro Front End applications with Module Federation. Experience building a library of reusable components. Experience with Material UI. Experience with Storybook. Experience with Golang. Experience with the following technologies and systems: Cypress, PostgreSQL, Jira, and Confluence. CALIFORNIA ONLY Salary Range Pay Transparency: Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Mountain View, CA is expected to be between $175,000 and $190,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
