As a Therapist for Refugee and Immigrant Services, you will be primarily responsible for providing therapy and clinical support to refugee and immigrant youth and/or adults with a wide range of issues including mental health and substance disorders.
Pay starts at: $51,126 annually; Benefits include: professional development assistance, diversity and inclusion trainings (meeting annual requirements), team consultations, supervision toward licensure of LLPC or LLMSW, supervision support for full licensed clinicians, health insurance, loan forgiveness, 403(b) matching program, and a focus on well being in the form of 11 paid holidays, competitive/flexible time off, sick leave, parental leave, and flexible schedule options.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain an awareness of current trends and relevant evidence-based practices to recommend changes in agency policy and practice to advance the use of appropriate clinical interventions and training; Complete proper documentation and write reports, including clinical depth and breadth of service, and concrete clinical progress and goals; Coordinate outside professional consultations when needed while ensuring documentation for consultations is completed in a timely and effective manner; Provide individual counseling sessions based on caseload and/or coverage needs utilizing the trauma model chosen for the respective program; Attend meetings with treatment team on a regularly scheduled basis; Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services; Stay up-to-date on treatment modalities, while also completing and coordinating trainings as required by funding sources by attending conferences, seminars and journal reading; Implement and promote service delivery through a trauma-responsive lens consistent with the Sanctuary Model of Care. Complete other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Social Work with clinical experience in the program, or Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which direct clinical experience is a program requirement from an accredited college; At least one (1), preferably two (2) years of post-educational experience counseling; Demonstrated experience within a therapeutic setting while utilizing interpreters; Prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations; Prior experience with co-occurring disorder treatment, strongly preferred; Must have a broad knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodology of social work as acquired through a Master's level degree; Active Certification/License in the state of the work location; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills; Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service; Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality; Computer skillssufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of MicrosoftOffice suite; Must be 21 years old with a valid driver'slicense with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate avehicle on behalf of Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurancecoverage; Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries; Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commitment.
