Overview

To lead the data quality improvement efforts throughout the organization. The Senior Data Quality Analyst uses their in-depth knowledge of the data and its potential quality issues to recognize and resolve data quality issues prior to them becoming data problems. This position provides organizational and technical support for the analysis, improvement and documentation of all data quality improvement efforts. This position writes the process and procedures to recognize and resolve on-going data issues. This positions is responsible to develop and implement long-term quality strategies, identify quality gaps, implement reporting processes in order to track quality improvements, enhance current systems, define and prioritize high-value quality products and manage projects to completion, develop standardized testing methods which facilitate the quality checking process.

Responsibilities

Lead the process of defining and implementing an overall data quality strategy and approach to determine, investigate, and resolve data quality issues. Work closely with the business and outside auditors to explain data quality issues and the how we are resolving them. Responsible for data quality documentation for HEDIS and NCQA purposes. Utilize profiling, quality tools, and various data sources in order to determine causes of quality issues Establish an on-going process to maintain quality data and define quality audit processes. Train and articulate to the other departmental professionals regarding the benefits and need for quality checking. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Leads and participates in special projects as needed and assigned. Perform Business Analyst duties for Data Quality Projects. Participant on any data quality workgroups or team goals. Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field; minimum four (4) years data quality analyst experience with experience in medical information systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Health Care Data is preferred.

Certifications

Knowledge of databases and software (SQL Server, Business Objects, Access, SSIS, Tableau, normalization, queries, views). Willingness to acquire knowledge on new technologies to solve quality problems, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, ability to work independently, self-directed and solutions-oriented, sound organizational and planning skills with a solid attention to detail, effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

Performance Based Competencies

Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to assist others in defining their needs in a collaborative, tactful manner. Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring new technical skills in a data quality environment. Detail-oriented with strong organization skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Work Environment And Physical Demands

More than 50% of work time is spent at a video display terminal. May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, or work in other non-standing and non-sitting positions to install cabling, systems hardware and other related equipment.

HIRING RANGE:

$85,173.51 - $106,466.89
