This position provides support to the Children's Services Act (CSA) and Office of Program Support (OPS) programs through assisting with collection of data and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of intensive treatment services purchased for youth and families served through the Children's Services Act (CSA) Office. The candidate will assist in monitoring the quality and appropriateness of provider services to individual youth and their families through site visits, chart reviews and interviews. This position also supports the financial aspects and data entry responsibilities/duties to Child Welfare programs (i.e., Foster Care, CPS, Prevention Adoption, Support Services, and etc.) and CSA by monitoring timely and accurate payments based on policies and data collection.

Representative Work Functions and Responsibilities:

Reinforce and support the child-centered, family-focused, community-based systems of care intervention methods supported by the Family Services Specialist. Assist in filling necessary financial forms and eligibility records used as a basis for determining eligibility for service. Review financial contracts/agreements for foster care placements for accuracy and verifies FAPT approval of placement & contracted rate. Verify funding source and fund availability for Services. Support CSA and OPS unit projects by assisting with conducting research, compliance, audit activities, case reviews, and compiling statistical and/or narrative data into reports. Prepare replies to correspondence in accordance with established procedures, Proofread and correct documents. Assist in tracking and updating data into state systems ie OASIS, COMPASS, HARMONY, etc. Assists others with the collection of data to be entered onto spreadsheets for tracking and reporting information to CPMT, CSA Administrator, DHS management, etc. Engage in site visits to assist with the monitoring and/or selection of service providers in the Virginia Beach CSA Contract Provider Network. Schedule appointments and meetings for supervisors in an efficient manner. Prepare reports, organize case records, collect data for statistical reports and attend unit meetings to accomplish a team approach in the delivery of services. Consult with Family Services Specialists, other professionals and review progress reports to provide updates to management. Maintain paper and/or electronic cross-referenced office files and a variety of other records by sorting and indexing materials alphabetically, numerically, and geographically. Operate standard office machinery and City standard software applications. Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on then current workloads and department needs. Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements:

Requires any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to four (4) years in a human services field (social work, guidance and counseling, family and child development, psychology or sociology) utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
