Job Title: Data Visualization Engineer Job Location: Salem, OR (PST) (Remote) Job Duration: 06+ months (Possibly Extension)

Job Description:

5+ years of experience working on AtScale implementations. 7 to 10 years of overall experience. Expertise in SQL along with a deep understanding of databases. Knowledge of database optimization, query planners, database drivers etc. Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and other teams.

Role and Responsibilities:

Semantic Layer Design and Implementation. Design and build Semantic Layers in AtScale to enable unified data access and consistent reporting across various data end points (PowerBI, Tableau, Excel). Designing, Implementing, and Managing multi-dimensional data models using AtScale to streamline data democratization, enhance reporting capabilities, and support data-driven decision making. Develop and maintain multidimensional data models, including cubes, dimensions, and measures to support business intelligence and analytics needs. Consolidate and enhance existing data models to minimize duplicate logic proliferation. Optimize data models to ensure efficient and scalable data access and query performance. Define requirements, estimate work, track dependencies, report progress, and highlight blockers Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to understand requirements and translate them into effective semantic models. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data modeling, performance, and user access. Provide support and training to end users in leveraging the semantic layer for reporting and analysis. Propose and implement enhancements to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the semantic layer Translate business requirements into data requirements and technical specifications. Help establish best practices, Document semantic layer designs, data models, and configurations to ensure clarity
