Position Overview
As the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA), you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility and ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. You will lead both the clinical and administrative teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of excellence in care. Your leadership will drive the facility's success in financial management, operational efficiency, and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Facility Management:
Supervise all clinical and administrative operations within the facility, ensuring smooth, effective day-to-day functions.
Develop and implement a comprehensive management system to optimize operations and improve efficiency across departments.
Coordinate and manage all departments (e.g., nursing, dietary, social services, activities) to ensure high-quality care and optimal facility performance.
Serve as the primary leader for the facility, ensuring all staff are trained, supported, and empowered to deliver the highest quality of care.
Financial Oversight:
Oversee
financial management , budgeting, and financial reporting for the facility.
Develop and implement
cost-effective strategies
to optimize operational expenses while ensuring the highest standard of care.
Monitor facility expenditures and work with the executive team to achieve
financial goals
without compromising quality of service.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure the facility’s operations comply with all
state and federal regulations
and
licensing requirements .
Lead the facility’s
quality assurance programs , focusing on continuous improvement initiatives and achieving high-quality care outcomes.
Stay updated with changes in healthcare regulations and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
Resident Advocacy:
Advocate for
resident rights
and ensure their care is personalized, compassionate, and of the highest quality.
Foster a culture where residents’ voices are heard, and their preferences are respected.
Ensure that the facility consistently meets or exceeds the residents' expectations for care, comfort, and quality of life.
Team Collaboration & Staff Development:
Promote a
collaborative, team-oriented environment
among staff, emphasizing open communication and mutual respect.
Provide leadership, guidance, and development opportunities to staff members, ensuring a well-trained and motivated workforce.
Evaluate staff performance and implement strategies to improve team engagement and job satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Current New York State LNHA Certification. • Proven leadership experience in a long-term care or healthcare management role. • Strong performance management and team-building skills. • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., email, document management, scheduling software). • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. • A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset that prioritizes both resident and staff well-being. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. • Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or nursing home setting is preferred. • Knowledge of quality assurance programs and regulatory compliance in long-term care. • Familiarity with financial management and budgeting in healthcare settings.
