Construction Manager/Assistant Facilities Manager

We’re seeking a construction manager who has similar values and can put their expertise to work on a variety of initiatives. This person will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and serving as the worksite representative for dealings with internal business partners, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and government inspectors. The construction manager will ensure compliance with all national and local procedures, regulations, and codes, and will provide progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis. With every project, the construction manager will be counted on to drive the innovation we’re known for. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal business partners, architects, engineers, and other specialists; vet and hire contractors and vendors, develop scope of work and coordinate schedules. Visit sites regularly during construction — including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress visits, punch walks, and closeouts — attend and manage status and coordination meetings. Create and manage project budgets and schedules, holding contractors and suppliers accountable. Maintain and update SOW and construction documents; meet and monitor contract obligations by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendors. Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions. Assist with other General Services and Facilities duties, including but not limited to branch and office maintenance and repairs, service requests, and day-to-day operations. Skills:
Project Planning and Scheduling: Ability to develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Space Planning: Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents. Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project. Budget Management: Proficiency in cost estimation, financial planning, tracking, and controlling project costs. Familiarity with Excel. Risk Management: Skills in identifying potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and resolving issues promptly. Contract Management: Experience with contract negotiation, administration, and compliance. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and clients. Building Systems: Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems. Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management software such as MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and REVIT. Personal Attributes:
Strong Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead teams, make critical decisions, and effectively manage conflicts. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams, including subcontractors and consultants. Attention to Detail: Precision in managing project details to ensure quality and compliance with regulations. Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to quickly identify problems and develop effective solutions to keep projects on track. Sound judgment in making critical decisions related to project management. Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changes in project scope, schedule, or resources. Qualifications:
Minimum 3 to 7 years of direct, hands-on experience in project management and/or construction management mandatory. Previous banking or retail experience preferred. Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferable. Trade license or accreditation is a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification would be advantageous. OSHA Certification or other relevant safety certifications. LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Knowledge of ADA regulations and standards. Valid Driver’s License: Good driving record required for site visits and traveling between properties and projects. Knowledge of Local Building Codes and Regulations: Familiarity with relevant legal requirements and industry standards. Ability to travel at least 20% of the time. Ability to comfortably lift 50lbs and climb ladders as needed. Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr. - USD $120,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
