Marsh Pointe is currently looking for an Activities Director.
The purpose of this position is to develop and implement an activity program in compliance with the State and Federal requirements to meet residents’ individual psychosocial needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, schedule and implement a program of individual and group activities based on residents’ individual needs, including but not limited to creating a monthly activity calendar and posting calendars in resident preferred areas timely. Assess and complete the sections of the MDS assigned completely, timely and accurately. Use the resident assessment protocols (RAPs) to determine whether to proceed to care planning for concerns related to a resident’s activity program needs. Gather data and document required assessments. Identify and document in the residents’ care plan, the activity interests, needs, and concerns of the resident. Document and maintain an activity participation records for each resident. Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and attend resident care conferences. Provide in-service education programs and attend all in-service sessions relating to Activity Program. Recruit, schedule and supervise volunteers. Organize and schedule community events related to residents’ interests. Plan, schedule and implement room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms, documenting the in-room visits. Plan, schedule and implement activities for residents who prefer to direct their own activity program and make accessible supplies for those activities. Plan, schedule and implement indoor and outdoor activity programs. Follow Residents Rights policies at all times. Perform other duties as requested by management. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Must have experience in a related field. - Pay will be based on experience.
