Description

Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Accounting Manager based in our Center City Philadelphia office! The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department.

Essential Duties:
  • Supervises the Accounting staff/department
  • Generates and reviews reports to close the monthly financials with an eye towards efficiency and automation in order to shorten the number of days it takes to close the monthly financials
  • Audits GL account entries for prior month and month-end close.
  • Prepares or oversees revenue accrual journal entries
  • Prepares or oversees all journal entries for Payroll, Accounts payable and other expense entries
  • Prepares daily and monthly cash flow analysis.
  • Prepares allocation of shareholder expenses for reporting.
  • Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports.
  • Ensures the financials statements comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives.
  • Monitor expenses in comparison to budget and assist in monthly variance analysis.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other relate duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPA
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of corporate accounting experience at a healthcare organization
  • Accounting principles; healthcare finance and accounting
  • Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Corporate accounting experience at a multi-site physicians practice
  • Prior healthcare services revenue accrual and physician compensation experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct (accounting system) and Stampli (AP module) a plus
