Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role supports the Accounting team by performing essential accounting tasks such as account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets.
- Prepare annual rental obligation letters and CAM reconciliations per tenants' lease.
- Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency with company records.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Assist in preparing annual tax returns, audits, and other regulatory filings.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting principles.
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of accounting experience (real estate or property management experience is a plus).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
