The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of facility operations, ensuring safe, efficient and well-maintained professional working environments. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to manage staff, coordinate maintenance activities, and implement strategic initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and provide clear direction.
- Organizational Skills: Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and creatively.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security/access control, etc.), maintenance practices, and landscaping methods.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication to interact with staff, vendors, and clients.
- Financial Management: Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected challenges.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality standards.
- Decision-Making: Ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and contractors.
- Flexibility: Available to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends along with the ability to travel out-of-town on short notice when needed.
- Operations Management:
- 1. Oversee daily facility operations, including cleaning, maintenance and repairs for one or more company offices.
- 2. Develop and implement facility policies and procedures as well as emergency preparedness plans.
- Staff Management:
- 1. Recruit, hire and manage facilities and front desk office staff.
- 2. Provide leadership, training, and performance evaluations.
- Physical Security and Access Control
- 1. Manage security systems, including electronic access control, surveillance cameras, and alarms.
- 2. Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Logistics Management
- 1. Manage inventory and procurement of facilities supplies and equipment.
- 2. Oversee space planning and utilization.
- Project Management
- 1. Plan, execute, and monitor facility improvement projects.
- 2. Manage project budgets and timelines.
$90,000 - $115,000 a year
Compensation: $90,000- $115,000 annually
