Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a technician to execute on the mechanical buildout of the infrastructure that supports battery cell testing. This role reports into our Development Operations team. As part of our broader Testing team, you will contribute to building the infrastructure that supports our first-of-kind cell test stands. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!
What you'll do:
Build and assemble mechanical and electrical components for first-of-kind cell test stands, ensuring precision and quality in all construction Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to interpret technical drawings and specifications Support the installation and integration of test equipment into the infrastructure Perform maintenance and repairs on test infrastructure to ensure continuous operation and reliability Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies to verify compliance with design specifications Continuously seek opportunities to improve build processes and techniques, contributing to a culture of innovation and operational excellence What you'll bring:
3+ years of hand-on experience in mechanical and electrical assembly Strong skills in understanding and executing build plans based on technical drawings A proactive approach to identifying improvements in build processes Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to be on your feet for extended periods, climb up and down ladders Ability to adjust to changing project requirements and timelines, ensuring that build and assembly tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
