Job overview:

The Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP) provides strategic Human Capital (HC) leadership and consultation to assigned business units across Cambridge Associates. The HCBP is a trusted advisor supporting business strategy and objectives through the development and implementation of key people and organizational initiatives. The HCBP builds strong internal partnerships, provides developmental coaching to all levels, and offers creative solutions to address business issues and enhance performance.

We are looking for someone who has an eye towards strategic partnership and is willing and capable of diving into the operational and tactical day to day work to support both, the business and the overarching HC initiatives. This role involves leading HC initiatives, managing complex employee relations issues, and aligning HC strategies with business objectives. The HCBP will also collaborate with other HC functions to ensure integrated and effective people solutions.

Responsibilities: Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and managers, providing insights and recommendations on HC matters ensuring there is alignment of talent strategy with business objectives. Act as the primary point of contact for leaders and managers, providing expertise and guidance in the areas of organizational performance, performance management, culture and change management, coaching, talent assessment, and organizational design. Drive performance excellence, ensuring that goal setting, development conversations, cascading of feedback, and corrective actions are taken in a timely manner. Identify key organizational issues, change management needs, and the appropriate HC levers to maximize current and future organization performance. Work with managers to assess and address skill gaps within their teams. Provide employee relations expertise and policy interpretation to the business unit, managing employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution. Provide coaching and support to managers on handling employee performance and conduct issues. Develop processes to effect change and increase organizational effectiveness including the employee communication strategy needed to support the change. Utilize HC analytics to provide insights into workforce trends and inform strategic decisions. Track key performance indicators and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to support business objectives. Build strong partnerships across HC to design and deliver integrated solutions ensuring business teams' needs are understood and met. Lead organizational development activities to develop and enhance current organizational capabilities with focus on helping the business grow and operate more efficiently. Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements:

BS/BA in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior/Development or a related field. 3-7 years or more of experience as HCBP or generalist role in a professional or financial services firm. Title and compensation will be commensurate with related experience and skill set. Strong business acumen and the ability to connect HC practices to business results. Ability to build trust and develop/sustain relationships across all levels of the business. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that enable instant credibility. Solid understanding of relevant employment laws and governing practices. Quick learner with sound judgment and the ability to balance HC practices and business needs. Ability to handle a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and sensitivity regarding employee information. Successful experience driving complex projects and outcomes with the associated change management to ensure success. Experience with organizational development and change management. Certification in HR (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
