The Senior QA Performance Test Engineer is responsible for the overall performance quality of systems and technology released into ETP’s production environment. This includes developing and executing comprehensive performance testing strategies, designing automated scripts, and analyzing test results. The role ensures systems meet business performance requirements (SLAs) by tracking key metrics such as response times, error rates, throughput, and resource utilization. Additionally, the engineer documents observations, identifies defects, and collaborates with development teams to resolve issues, ensuring the alignment of systems with business objectives.

Lead QA initiatives by strategizing and planning performance testing activities for systems and technologies. Design and develop automated performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad. Execute comprehensive performance tests, including load, spike, stress, and endurance testing. Utilize data analytics tools to determine user flows and client usage characteristics. Track and report on key performance metrics, including response times, error rates, throughput, and resource utilization. Collaborate with development teams to document findings, resolve defects, and improve application performance. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain test data and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Manage offshore testing programs and third-party QA teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Continuously evaluate and recommend testing tools and best practices to enhance QA processes. What it takes:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Five (5)+ years of experience as a QA Performance Engineer with expertise in performance testing for large-scale platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce). Advanced proficiency with testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and monitoring platforms like AppDynamics or Dynatrace. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, metrics, and process improvements. Experience with automated testing tools and API testing. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities with a team-oriented mindset. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, experience with mobile testing tools, and SAFe Agile certification.
