Position Summary :

PRB is seeking a Business Development Manager/Pricer who will support all aspects of PRB's business development (BD) efforts, with a focus on proposal management, pricing/budgeting, funder research, and internal knowledge management (KM). This role collaborates with all departments at PRB. The person in this role will have demonstrated proficiency coordinating/managing proposals, and drafting proposal budgets and budget narratives. PRB is open to hiring at various skill levels of experience, depending on the candidate. 5+ years of directly relevant BD experience in a nonprofit setting is preferred; those with less experience (but with strong interest and aptitude) are also encouraged who apply. Essential/Primary Responsibilities Manages proposals for new projects with United States Government (USG), foundation, and other funders; independently drafts compliance matrixes, proposal calendars, and capabilities statements; ensures adherence to deadlines; conducts targeted research; supports proposal components such as editing and final packaging; and schedules/compiles materials for meetings. Independently develops proposal budgets and budget narratives that comply with a variety of funder requirements (including for USG and foundation funders) and are responsive to programmatic and organizational needs. Compiles required financial and institutional information. Tracks new business opportunities in Salesforce and ensures all information entered is accurate and complete for various reporting needs. Plays a primary role in PRB's BD-related KM efforts, including supporting the continued development, maintenance, and organization of BD resources and standard operating procedures. Supports internal/organizational BD budget and pricing needs. Conducts research to support the analysis of donor trends, prospective new funders, and specific procurements. Drafts/renews consultant agreements. Reviews teaming and pre-teaming agreements and liaises with other staff and partners to finalize them. Responsible for key administrative tasks, including maintaining and updating all BD files, and overseeing the organization of PRB's BD-related passwords and login info. Performs other duties as assigned. Accountabilities:

Reports to the Director, Business Development. Skills and Abilities:

Undergraduate degree in business administration, economics, social sciences, or a related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience with business development, pricing/budgeting, and/or project management/program work, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Meticulous attention to detail is required. Strong quantitative skills are necessary in order to develop proposal budgets. Excellent management, time-management, organizational and problem-solving skills are required. Demonstrated understanding of the interaction between budgets and corresponding activities, and an interest in becoming highly proficient in pricing/budgeting across a wide variety of funders and projects. Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft a variety of clear, well-structured, well-organized materials. Ability to interact with all levels of personnel to lead activities. Proficient Microsoft Office skills and mid-to-advanced Excel skills. Experience using Salesforce (or a similar CRM program) preferred. Fluency in English required; proficiency in French a plus. Interest in PRB's mission and work.

This position is based in the U.S., with working hours aligned to those of PRB's Washington, DC office. It is primarily hybrid, with remote options considered for exceptional candidates residing outside the metropolitan area. Occasional in-person attendance at the Washington, DC office will be required.
