SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing accurate financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. The individual will assume ownership of assigned duties and tasks within the accounting team, by displaying initiative, analysis, and problem-solving skills. Maintaining the value and confidentiality of financial data and working with the accounting team to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of monthly and annual financial information is an important part of the individual's and CraneWorks' success. The Senior Accountant must ensure the timely flow of information between departments and must be able to communicate and work closely with employees at all levels.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Utilize data provided by Staff Accountant and other accounting team members to prepare reports and facilitate month-end closing procedures for the company in compliance with accounting standards.
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in generating, compiling, and reviewing monthly financial reports for the management team.
• Maintain integrity of general ledger and perform monthly reviews and reconciliations on all applicable ledger accounts.
• Responsible for reviewing employee expense reporting, including company credit card reconciliations prepared by Staff Accountant.
• Assist Accounting Manager in compilation of monthly commission data and reporting.
• Responsible for Revenue reporting to Management team, including actual to target results.
• Assist Controller and Director of Finance in preparation of annual financial budget.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with other staff and management team.
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft 365 proficiency
• Microsoft Excel advanced
• Knowledge of office procedures
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Firm understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Understanding of general ledger through previous extensive accounting experience.
Salary Description
Exempt - Negotiable
