Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product management, marketing, and design teams to understand product requirements and customer needs.
- Develop and prototype new product concepts using CAD software and other design tools.
- Conduct feasibility studies, including cost analysis and manufacturability assessments.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate product designs, including functional, durability, and environmental testing.
- Analyze test data and iterate designs based on findings.
- Manage project timelines and milestones, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless transition from development to production.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in product development and manufacturing.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the ideation of new products and features.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in product development or a related engineering role, preferably in the consumer products industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience with prototyping techniques and materials.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, casting, and CNC machining.
- Familiarity with product testing standards and methodologies.
