Product Development Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Development Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a passion for developing innovative consumer products. As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and launch of new products, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas from concept to market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product management, marketing, and design teams to understand product requirements and customer needs.
• Develop and prototype new product concepts using CAD software and other design tools.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including cost analysis and manufacturability assessments.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate product designs, including functional, durability, and environmental testing.
• Analyze test data and iterate designs based on findings.
• Manage project timelines and milestones, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless transition from development to production.
• Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in product development and manufacturing.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the ideation of new products and features.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 2-3 years of experience in product development or a related engineering role, preferably in the consumer products industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with prototyping techniques and materials.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, casting, and CNC machining.
  • Familiarity with product testing standards and methodologies.
