The Director of Employee & Labor Relations will:
Cultivate positive employee relations in both union and non-union environments, including implementing programs and addressing concerns to foster collaborative relationships. Manage employment and labor relations activities, such as contract administration, negotiations, grievance handling, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. Develop and oversee talent acquisition strategies and processes, ensuring efficient hiring practices and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, including mentoring/coaching in talent management processes, policy development, and team improvement initiatives. Collaborate with organizational leaders on retention, succession planning, and employee engagement strategies, while ensuring fair resolution of employee relations issues and compliance with applicable procedures and laws. Perform other duties, as needed. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field of study. Master's preferred HR professional certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience specific to Talent Management with progressive responsibility, preferably in healthcare field. Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations matters in a union environment. Ability to evaluate and implement HR Programs and initiatives across multiple organizations with distinct cultures. Demonstrated knowledge for the practical application of human resources protocols in a variety of HR areas, such as employee relations, performance management, engagement, recruitment, retention and employee coaching.
