JOB SUMMARY
Travel Center managers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of their Chukchansi Travel Center. The General Manager ensures that everything is running smoothly, from the pumps to the cash register to the cleanliness of the restrooms. They may also be responsible for hiring and training new employees or helping current employees grow within the Travel Center. This might include providing additional training or coaching on topics such as customer service or safety procedures.
Essential Duties
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by following safety procedures and protocols Ordering and maintaining inventory levels of all products sold at the station, including fuel, food, beverages, tobacco products, automotive supplies, and other items. Coordinating the delivery of fuel to the station and ordering additional supplies as needed Communicating with suppliers about pricing changes in order to plan for future Managing employee recruitment and training efforts to ensure that all employees are properly trained in their job duties. Monitoring pump prices to ensure that they are consistent with market prices for similar stations in the Scheduling employees' work hours based on business demands and staffing Conducting employee performance reviews to ensure that individuals are meeting job Monitoring cash flow to ensure that the business has enough capital to pay bills on time and make investments in equipment or facilities. Perform other duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have at least Two (2) years of experience in a gas station, or related field such as retail or customer service. Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration or related fields. Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Proven management experience in a customer service environment Working knowledge of POS System, and SSCS Strong understanding of state and federal laws governing the sale of gasoline and other regulated products Ability to remain calm, especially in tough situations. General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations. Ability to work effectively with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and a diverse population. Ability to work within a demanding environment. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with the Tribe's Constitution, laws, and culture is preferred, but not required. Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Adept at multi-tasking, have unquestionable integrity, with a commitment to accuracy. Organized with unfailing attention to detail and outstanding project management skills. High level of comfort/ease interacting with all levels in the Tribe. PRCI Tribal Preference:
In accordance with applicable Tribal Law and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the PRCI Administration shall give preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and lay-off to enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians. To qualify for this preference, applicants must meet minimum qualifications of employment and submit verification of enrollment in the Tribe. Tribal preference means that Tribal Members who are equally qualified as non-tribal members will be hired. In addition, on the Human Resources Interview rubric that allows for a total of 75 points during interviews, Tribal members will be awarded an additional 7.5 points (10% of total allotted points) counted in the overall tally. Tribal members who are not Chukchansi will receive Indian preference by awarding five additional points (6.7% of the total allotted points).
