Element has an opening for a

Senior Chemist

position at our extractables and leachables (E&L) testing Center of Excellence in Bend, OR. This position will work in a cGMP-regulated environment under the direction of a Team Lead or other senior staff member in office settings. The Senior Chemist will work with a team completing E&L project work using internal methods, protocols and SOPs according to customer specific requirements. This position requires working in a collaborative manner with other team members to accomplish organizational goals, providing ideas to improve efficiency and actively contributing to positive co-worker/customer relationships through efficient interaction on current projects. The Senior Chemist will also contribute to team continuous improvement initiatives. In this position, there are many opportunities for developing strong analytical skills in GC-MS data processing functions and for industry advancement. Routinely performs basic through advanced GC data analysis and reviews. Performs EI spectral interpretation and GC-MS/FID and HS-GC-MS/FID ID reviews. Verifies deliverables are performed, documented, and completed according to customer expectations and quality system requirements. Promotes growth and development within the GC Team and greater Element E&L organization. Actively promotes continuous improvement and E&L continuing education. Skills / Qualifications

Strong analytical skills in GC-MS data processing. Experience with EI spectral interpretation and GC-MS/FID and HS-GC-MS/FID ID reviews. Ability to verify deliverables according to customer expectations and quality system requirements. Demonstrated ability to promote growth and development within a team.
