Workday Developer

Contract - 6-7-months contract to hire

Location - Remote

Work permit - US Citizen

We are seeking a Workday Developer with expertise in integration development using Workday Studio and app development using Workday Extend. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, testing and deploying integrations and apps on the Workday platform. Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is required, as well as an understanding of HR business cycles and processes to ensure effective integration solutions. We are seeking a team member with a passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with new technologies. In this position, you will be part of a small team of developers, business systems analysts and security administrators working closely together to deliver solutions.

Primary Responsibilities • List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities. • Develop and maintain integration between Workday and external payroll system (UKG Pro), benefits providers, learning content providers, stock and retirement providers, as well as internal downstream systems. • Design, Build, Test, and Deploy Workday Integration solutions using Custom Reports, EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformations, XSLT and Workday Studio. • Design, build, test and deploy Workday Extend applications. • Help the Business Systems Analysts gather and define requirements from our internal customers. Derive the technical requirements through questions that guide the development process. • Translate requirements into a detailed technical specification to meet business goals. • Complete design documentation and review the development of solutions specified in technical design. • Ensure development activities are aligned with scope, schedule, priority, and business objectives. • Unit and system test the solution. Provide test files to your customer and to external providers. • Participate in proof-of-concept development, demos, and post-deployment support of cross-team integration efforts. • Follow the change process before deploying new solutions or modifications. • Collaborate with internal and external technical experts to develop and implement solutions. • Communicate frequently with your customer to keep work moving and to keep them informed on progress. • Work within a team to establish best practices in services development and integration of applications. • Learn and adopt new technologies; active upskilling is part of this position.

Basic Qualifications • 3+ years professional experience developing Workday integrations using the following: • Workday Studio • Web Services / APIs • XSLT • EIB • Document Transformations • Workday Extend Application Development • JSON • REST • SOAP • WSDL • Boomerang integrations • Cloud Connectors • Workday Configurable Security • Knowledge of basic HR and Payroll concepts and business cycles • Experience creating inbound and outbound integrations for benefits providers, learning content providers, stock and retirement providers. • Experience developing boomerang integrations and webservices to automate data loads. • Must be an avid learner, ready and willing to take the initiative to learn and adopt new technologies. • Must have a balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. • Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical field or the equivalent experience plus 4+ years of relevant work experience.
