Job Summary:
Warrior’s Rest Foundation(501.c.3) is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team. The COO will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s day-to-day operations and implementing strategies to achieve its mission and objectives of providing resources and training to Frist Responders and their families. This leadership role will work closely with the Executive Director/CEO and other senior leaders to ensure operational excellence, organizational efficiency, and a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Essential Job Duties:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational functions of Warrior’s Rest Foundation.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
Oversee human resources management, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development.
Collaborate with program directors and managers to ensure the successful implementation and execution of programs and services.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics and financial indicators to assess organizational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Lead the development and management of the annual budget and financial planning process in collaboration with the finance team.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community organizations.
Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance the impact and reach of Warrior’s Rest Foundation.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, as well as adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Serve as a key advisor to the Executive Director/CEO and Board of Directors on organizational operations and strategic planning.
Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Represent Warrior’s Rest Foundation at external events, conferences, and meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in a senior leadership role, with a minimum of 3 years in nonprofit management or a related field.
Strong strategic planning and operational management skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and goals.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve excellence and drive results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to ethical conduct and integrity.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
