About the Role: Are you a compassionate and dedicated Child Therapist with a specialization in play therapy? We are looking for someone like you to join our team in a community-based setting in Washington, DC! In this part-time role, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's emotional and behavioral well-being, using the power of play therapy to help them overcome challenges and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide play therapy to children to address emotional, developmental, and behavioral concerns. Conduct thorough assessments and collaborate with families to develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based play therapy techniques to help children process their emotions and build coping skills. Communicate effectively with caregivers, offering guidance and support to enhance treatment outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for children and their families. Qualifications:
Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field. Active licensure in Washington, DC (LPC, LGPC, LGSW, or LICSW). Specialized training and experience in play therapy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for working with children and their families in a community setting. Schedule:
Part-time only, with flexible hours during office hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
