Network Security Engineer
to support a Department of Justice program in
Washington, D.C.
The team is seeking an information security specialist and network engineer to support the Departments National Security Division.
Location:
Washington, D.C. (100% onsite)
Clearance:
TopSecret clearance (will be upgraded to SCI)

Responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer:
Develop and implement the organization's information security strategy. Evaluate and analyze the feasibility of technical and economic solutions. Design and maintain optimized firewall and IPS rule structures to meet standards. Monitor the health of firewalls and IPS, recommending necessary improvements. Create and update documentation for firewall and IPS procedures. Design and maintain detailed schematics related to network security. Research, test, and implement new network security technologies. Demonstrate expert knowledge of current security tools and practices. Provide guidance and support to network engineers under general supervision.
Qualifications of the Network Security Engineer: • 10+ years of IT experience, required • Bachelors Degree, strongly preferred • Must have hands on experience on configuration to deployment of Cisco FMC1000 physical and FMC-VMware, Cisco ISE and IPS products. • Must have experience managing IPsec VPN, Site-to-Site VPN to Azure cloud.
Compensation of the Network Security Engineer: • Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 - based on years of experience • Long-term stable contract, transition to ITC Federal • Full benefits: PTO/Holiday, Sick leave as required by state law, Medical, Dental, Vision, Certification reimbursement • Opportunity to obtain SCI clearance
