Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients, including preventive services, screenings, diagnosis, and treatment of reproductive health issues. Perform routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and other screenings to detect abnormalities or potential health concerns. Manage pregnancies from prenatal care through delivery, providing personalized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Conduct prenatal screenings, ultrasounds, and genetic testing to monitor fetal development and identify any potential complications. Perform deliveries, including vaginal births, cesarean sections, and assisted deliveries, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, infertility, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections. Provide counseling and education to patients on contraception, family planning, sexual health, and lifestyle choices to promote overall wellness. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, surgeons, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients. Stay informed about advances in obstetrics and gynecology through continued education, training, and participation in professional development activities. Maintain accurate medical records, documentation, and communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, test results, and follow-up care. Call is every 12 weekends. Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine. Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Valid state medical license and DEA registration. Completion of residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current medical practices and procedures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and bedside manner skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Dedication to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
