Area Vice President - Managing Network Partner

Overview Primary Purpose This position is responsible for managing all the networks in each market (North Carolina, Georgia, or Illinois/Wisconsin) with accountability for network growth, quality performance, utilization performance, and financial performance. The main responsibilities of this position are managing relationships, facilitating population health services from the Population Health team of the Advocate Health Enterprise, overseeing performance, and arranging governance logistics. This position will work collaboratively with EPH enablement functional leaders, Managed Health functional leaders, and Enterprise operational leaders (hospital, medical group, post-acute network). Major Responsibilities Work with EPH Senior Staff to define & establish network organizational structure options i.e. ACO, CIN, ALYT, contracted, owned entities. Work with EPH Senior Staff to determine where Alyt Model fits in the market. Lead evaluation and decide network participation in contracts. Lead contract physician category assignment. Lead network clinician participation and covered lives growth planning and strategies. Provide insights on VBC contract terms. Manage Value Based Contract Portfolio and other LOB (CMMI, MCD, MCR, Com, ACA, DTE). Develop and create network strategic plan. Provide input on EPH strategic imperatives. Lead and manage all aspects of governance and subcommittee membership (join/term/succession planning). Provide insights into governance model/structure standards, including subcommittees, for all network types (CIN, ACO, owned entities). Create, update, and manage approval of governance charters, bylaws, and service agreements. Partner with EPH functional leads to create governance roadmap, prepare agendas, manage meetings, logistics, and follow-up. Establish and manage network culture, including performance expectations and behavior expectations. Provide input on Enterprise Hospital Quality and Efficiency Program (HQEP). Support execution of EPH strategic imperatives. Partner with EPH functional leaders to create EPH and network scorecard metrics and targets. Manage and be accountable for network action planning and results. Partner with EPH functional lead to create, manage, and be accountable for network management. Approve design, administration, and payout of the incentive program. Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations, population health, management, and leading and working with physicians. Knowledge of the principles and practices of healthcare planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a core market and clinical enterprise business development function. Knowledge of the medical environment, physician group practice, managed care, physician compensation, healthcare contracting, acute care delivery, ancillary services, regulations, financial, and operational systems. Exceptional communication skills that foster trust, clear vision, mutual respect, and positive staff and physician relations. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, creativity, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Operate all equipment necessary to perform the job. This position requires travel, so the incumbent will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
