PTR-Precision Technologies, Inc. is a member of the Global Beam Technologies group, the largest manufacturer of electron beam welding and drilling systems in the world. PTR manufactures Electron Beam Welding Systems for the North American market and provides process development, service, training, and job shop EB welding services at our Enfield, CT plant.
Electron beam welding is a high energy beam process similar to laser welding with customer applications in aerospace, automotive, defense, oil & gas, power generation, and semiconductor industries. PTR has been providing contract welding services using the latest in machine technology for over 35 years.

PTR is currently seeking an experienced Engineer to develop Electron Beam welding processes and applications for our expanding EB welding job shop in Enfield, CT.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate designed experiments to determine welding parameters. Develop and improve process tooling. Coordinate ancillary processes such as heat treatments and inspections. Provide quotations for these welding efforts. Provide inside technical sales support for new and existing customers. Provide metallurgical assistance to production welding orders. Interface with customers, machine operators, technicians, salespeople, and other engineers. Requirements:
BS in Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with a high energy beam process (electron beam or laser) would be ideal as well as a welding or materials background.
