The Title Examiner (Hybrid)
is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include: Performing searches of real property. Examining records such as deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, and plat and map books to determine ownership and encumbrances, and verifying the legal description of property. Contacting the Escrow Officer or customer regarding any discrepancies. Analyzing the chain of title and preparing preliminary reports outlining matters affecting the title and actions required to clear the title. Reviewing collateral documents such as trusts, powers of attorney, and court documents as necessary. Uploading all necessary search and supporting documents to the title software application. Performing date downs or updates as requested. Specific qualifications for the position include :
Superior reading skills with the ability to interpret documents and procedure manuals. Knowledge of title insurance products, including a basic understanding of the coverage provided by different products. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of title applications and software as they relate to title processes and policies. Extensive knowledge of subdivision descriptions, sectional split lots, metes and bounds descriptions, and the searching process. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. High school diploma or equivalent. Pay Rate Range : $55000 - $64000 yearly.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
