POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the combined role of Grant Writer and Contract Manager. This position is critical for securing funding through grants and ensuring proper management and compliance of contracts. The ideal candidate will have expertise in grant writing and contract management, excellent organizational and communication skills, and strong attention to detail. This role involves researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals, as well as managing awarded grants and contracts to ensure compliance with all funding and partnership requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Grant Research & Identification

Identify and research prospective grant opportunities from public and private sources that align with organizational goals. Monitor trends in available funding opportunities to keep the organization informed of potential resources. Maintain a calendar of upcoming grants, deadlines, and submission requirements.

Grant Proposal Development & Writing

Write clear, persuasive, and tailored grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supplementary documentation. Collaborate with internal departments to gather required information on program goals, budgets, and measurable outcomes. Submit timely grant applications and ensure adherence to all guidelines and criteria set forth by funders.

Contract Management

Oversee the lifecycle of all contracts, from initiation and negotiation through final execution and compliance tracking. Develop, review, and manage contracts with vendors, partners, and funders to ensure they align with organizational needs and policies. Monitor contract compliance and deadlines, managing renewals, amendments, and terminations, as necessary.

Grant and Contract Compliance & Reporting

Ensure all awarded grants and contracts meet compliance requirements, tracking progress and financial expenditures as per funder requirements. Prepare and submit periodic and final reports for grant-funded projects, ensuring all outcomes and deliverables are accurately reported. Maintain organized and up-to-date records for all grants and contracts, including documentation of key deadlines, deliverables, and communications.

Internal Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with program staff, finance, and leadership to align grant funding and contract management with organizational goals. Serve as the main point of contact for grantors and contractors, managing communications and addressing any questions or concerns. Provide regular updates to leadership on the status of grants and contracts, including potential risks or upcoming deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, English, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for a degree. Proven experience in grant writing and contract management, ideally within the nonprofit, healthcare, or social services sectors. Experience Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously. Excellent writing and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce clear and compelling documents. Knowledge of grant compliance requirements and contract law principles. Proficiency in grant management and contract tracking software is a plus. Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with nonprofit operations, healthcare, education, or social services. Experience in budget preparation and financial tracking for grants and contracts. Knowledge of federal and state funding and contracting regulations. EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Master's Degree Preferred. Bachelor's degree with 5 plus years of experience in Management and 3 years of experience in Human or Elder Services, preferably working with elders. Experience working in a Health and Human Services agency in a supervisory role is strongly preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

Ability to lift and carry objects frequently weighing up to 10 to 15 pounds. Ability to climb stairs. Ability to travel to the community to perform visits at consumers' homes. Work requires regularly standing, stooping, and bending.
