Job Description:
The Controls Engineer will assist in the design, development, documentation, implementation, and commissioning of automated material handling systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- 3 Years of experience as a Controls Engineer or related position
- Prior experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS and MES technologies
- A understanding of manufacturing / warehousing equipment / automation technology & processes
- Prior project engineering experience ideal
- Possess in-depth knowledge of programming concepts
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Displays a positive and professional demeanor
- Demonstrates a flexible and cooperative working style
- Willing to work off-hours when required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Willing to submit to drug testing and/or background checks
- Programming PLC, DCS and HMI systems
- Designing and implementing custom controls for material handling machine interfacing
- Working with all types of engineers and customers to enhance services
- Developing lower-level Controls Engineers
- Managing time efficiently with multiple projects going on simultaneously
- Generating any detailed reports as required
- Adhering to industry standard safety practices
- Commissioning final systems at manufacturing facilities.
- Designing, developing, documenting, implementing, and commissioning of industrial automation control systems.
- Researching new potential products to integrate with our systems
