Locations: Charlotte, NC (SW Charlotte)

Job Description:
The Controls Engineer will assist in the design, development, documentation, implementation, and commissioning of automated material handling systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• 3 Years of experience as a Controls Engineer or related position
• Prior experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS and MES technologies
• A understanding of manufacturing / warehousing equipment / automation technology & processes
• Prior project engineering experience ideal
• Possess in-depth knowledge of programming concepts
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Displays a positive and professional demeanor
• Demonstrates a flexible and cooperative working style
• Willing to work off-hours when required
• Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Willing to submit to drug testing and/or background checks

Responsibilities:

• Programming PLC, DCS and HMI systems
• Designing and implementing custom controls for material handling machine interfacing
• Working with all types of engineers and customers to enhance services
• Developing lower-level Controls Engineers
• Managing time efficiently with multiple projects going on simultaneously
• Generating any detailed reports as required
• Adhering to industry standard safety practices
• Commissioning final systems at manufacturing facilities.
• Designing, developing, documenting, implementing, and commissioning of industrial automation control systems.
• Researching new potential products to integrate with our systems
