Quality Control Engineer

Job Purpose:

  • Production Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving sustainable excellence in designated products of quality during product development and production cycle. This is accomplished by providing technical actions within the quality discipline under quality manager leading, and maintaining intense customer focus. In addition, this position will be responsible for follow up and corrective action for internal quality issues and sometimes its responsibility will be extended to customer quality issue.
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
  • Serves as engineer representative for quality improvement effort across the organization.
  • Performing investigation of production failures, analyzing of production data and reports
  • Has responsibilities to ensure the establishment, implementation and improvement of processes needed
  • Ensures the compliance to customer requirements in designated product production & inspection area.
  • Periodical work report to Quality manager in a timely manner.
  • Participating develop TFT plans to support organization goals. Works with team to resolve quality issues and improve given quality performance.
  • Serves as a member of the plant management team and helps develop plant goals.
  • Create a compelling culture for Quality striving towards quality excellence every day.
  • Assemble and Machining Quality Experience
  • Skill (Cpk, SPC Control) and APQP Process
  • Track Quality issues and CAR(Corrective Action Request)
Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Understand manufacturing quality management environment.
  • Analysis of product failure type
  • ISO/TS 16949 and IATF 16949 requirements
  • Quality stabilization through dimension / defect improvement
  • Internal and external audits
  • Reduce quality costs through process improvements
  • Customer satisfaction relationship
Technical Competencies:
  • Utilization of Quality Computerized system (Customer Portal, Mando)
  • Quality Core Tools - PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, APQP, MSA.
  • Problem Solving Tool - Global Mando 8D Process
  • Understanding of GD&T , Drawing interpretation ability
  • Statistical quality analysis and tracking
  • Utilization of many tools and equipment needed for specialize testing.
  • Use Performance Test Stands to evaluate various performance features of steering gears


Non-Technical Competencies:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively for problem solutions.
  • Must be self-directed, results driven individual with the ability to effectively drive issues/problems to closure.

  • Excellent leadership and man- management skills
