About Manufacturing Domain
You will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering - Supply Chain group, supporting our mission of creating world of possibilities for the business by building robust systems which can scale to meet current and future business needs. We are critical in providing a robust ERP system for manufacturing of products for various brands. Engineering team requires a highly dedicated individual who can take ownership, accountability of the domain to deliver configurations/code as needed following Williams Sonoma's high standards for software delivery.
Overview of the Lead Software Engineer
The candidate would be leading WSI's D365 F&O Application which focuses full life cycle within Procure to Pay modules. Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. This role requires an in-depth technical and great interpersonal skills to partner closely with key stakeholders across the line of business and technology teams to deliver business functional requirements with customer first focus. The candidate will also leverage previous software development experience to engineer scalable and extensible solutions.
Responsibilities Participating in the analysis of Operations business process, and providing expert guidance, creative solutions, best approaches, and practices. Leading functionally and technically throughout the project lifecycle to provide expert guidance to ensure both functional and technical capabilities of Dynamics 365 F&O meet business needs. Maintaining expertise with D365 F&O software, release schedules, underlying technical architecture, and ISV solutions. Building business/ops relationships and becoming a trusted advisor. Providing mentorship and coaching to other team members to ensure their continued growth. Providing proactive guidance to the leadership in anticipation of new releases and solutions from Microsoft and other third-party software vendors. Performing the technical design/implementations for all Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Workflows components. Review of technical architecture deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and requirements traceability. Having overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the project environments. Identifying and communicating any cross-area or cross-release issues that affect other project areas. Ensuring adherence to all quality management plans and standards by participating in testing. Validating the design with the stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies the requirements. Ensuring security practices are used and applied throughout the engagement's lifecycle. Ensuring that solutions are scalable and extensible for future needs by running performance tests. Working in close coordination with the production support teams to ensure stability of the system during the peak demands. Mentor other junior software engineers in the team onsite/offshore. Build operational readiness and alerts/monitoring to help production support teams in their day-to-day activities. Criteria
2+ years minimum of experience with Microsoft D365F&O end-to-end (Implementation, Consulting and Development) with Enterprise clients, including interfacing and integration Overall 8+ experience in Microsoft DAX. X++ development using extensions and custom service development in X++ Good understanding of functional capabilities of D365: Financials, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management and Accounting Good understanding of LCS (Life Cycle Services) and Azure DevOps Experience in other technologies such as SQL, Power BI along with good knowledge of C# and the .Net framework. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations in the following technical areas: Data Management Framework (aka DIXF); PowerApps, Logic Apps, Common Data Service, and other Azure Services including Azure Functions, Azure Blob, and Table Storage, Azure Event Grid, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management Understanding of Synchronous and Asynchronous integration patterns Experience in extension approach to customization versus over-layering Experience in Role-based security design and customization Extensible Data Security Experience in Report development and Power BI Experience in Code build and deployment via Visual Studio Team Services and Life Cycle Services Experience in D365 F&O environment deployment, LCS Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer (MB-500) certification or equivalent experience strongly desired Azure certifications will be a plus
