PURPOSE

The Crane Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance of terminal equipment. Work closely with Terminal Management team to establish optimum utilization- availability and reliability of the various types of container handling equipment such as Ship to Shore Cranes (STS).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Use good Engineering Practices with focus on Preventive Maintenance on all equipment. Identify bottlenecks and determine the most economical methods of eliminating these bottlenecks and maximizing throughput; and establish the handling costs at various levels of terminal throughput. Able to assist and guide Engineering projects to full completion. Liaison between Union and Operations. Able to work in a Union environment that would include Foreman interaction along with Mechanics. Support APMT's Safety Program by analyzing safety initiatives from a Process and Engineering perspective. Manage the execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to the issued schedule, quality specifications, and cost parameters. Ensure the implementation of maintenance plans for assigned equipment within the timeframes established in the maintenance schedule. Guarantee that equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable operating condition, in accordance with factory specifications. Oversee periodic reviews of maintenance plans and ensure the creation of maintenance plans for new assets. Ensure that equipment issues and deviations are promptly addressed and resolved, conducting follow-up activities to prevent recurring failures. Manage the performance of assets based on key performance indicators and promote continuous improvement to eliminate recurring and catastrophic failures. Provide the necessary technical information to ensure proper execution of maintenance activities. Promote and control change management for equipment operating modes. Review and approve service contracts, the purchase of spare parts, consumables, and all external acquisition of components specifically for use in the maintenance activities of the company's assets. CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma is required. University degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related fields is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Crane Manager. Demonstrated managerial experience in overseeing personnel, processes, and/or operations, specifically in the maintenance and repair of cranes. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical fields in the heavy machinery industry or similar is required. Availability to work on-site from 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and be on call 24/7 (including weekends). Accountability - Ability to set operational plans with short-term impact by maintaining standards that lead to high performance and execution. Agility - Ability to modify important changes rapidly. Collaboration - Ability to exchange and adapt skills when working together across boundaries Functional Excellence - Broad knowledge in job area/discipline or expertise in a specific discipline.
