This role is hybrid, based out of our HQ's in Cleveland, OH, and will report directly to the Firm Administrator.

Our successful and growing national property tax-focused law firm consists of approximately 15 attorneys and 30 professionals.  Siegel Jennings serves commercial taxpayers by handling their property tax needs across the country, from our offices located in Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh.

What You’ll Be Doing: Reporting directly to the Firm Administrator, the HR Manager will be identifying the need for human resource processes, ongoing streamlining of procedures, identifying and ensuring the firm’s consistent compliance with legal requirements, and overseeing all human resource functions as a support to the firm’s organizational goals. 

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the firm’s goals. 
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and off-boarding. 
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including the management of HR policies and procedures.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and wellness programs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and retention. 
  • Periodic travel to firm’s headquarters office in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as firm’s offices in Columbus, Pittsburgh and Chicago. 

Your Background:

  • ​​​​​​​Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a professional services or legal environment. 
  • ​​​​​​​Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in HR. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • ​​​​​​​Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to: 

  • Perform light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. 
  • ​​​​​​​Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment such as telephone, copier, scanner, computer, etc.
