The Senior Treasury Analyst will support various areas of Treasury for United Community Bank, with a focus on reporting and data analytics. The incumbent will also be involved in funding & liquidity, derivatives, and helping mitigate various risks including counterparty exposures. The Analyst will work within established policies and parameters along with the then current strategy. The Analyst can be relied upon to manage and perform certain functions and processes as required with little direct supervision.
What You'll Do:
- Manage large data sets from various sources and formats, focusing on automation to reduce manual efforts and promote consistency and accuracy.
- Utilize data management and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI; SQL is a plus.
- Communicate data through reporting and assist with presenting data to working groups, councils, and executive-level committees.
- Actively manage the wholesale funding position, identify cost-efficient sources of funds, and invest surplus reserves on a short-term basis.
- Run daily reporting for Treasury, Federal Reserve, or other groups, and assist with wholesale funding products, pricing, testing, and execution.
- Enter wholesale funding transactions into the system of record and maintain appropriate procedures.
- Manage detailed cash flow and liquidity forecasts, working with FP&A and Treasury Analytics.
- Understand and assist in pricing public funds and large deposits, and prepare Funding and Liquidity reporting for ALCO and the Board.
- Understand derivative pricing and systems, work with approved counterparties, and execute customer derivatives.
- Ensure all derivative transactions comply with bank policies and procedures, and assist with related documentation.
- Produce write-ups for counterparty risk analysis, manage documentation, and determine appropriate exposure limits.
- Assist with preparing Counterparty Risk Management reporting for ALCO and the Board.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant policies and regulatory guidance, ensuring business continuity and process auditing.
- Assist with automation, preparing meeting minutes, merger acquisition assignments, and other Treasury department projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, data analytics, or a similar field.
- Interest in balance sheet management.
- Detail-focused to manage and forecast the bank's liquidity position over short, medium, and long terms, as well as throughout each business day.
- Understanding of accounting and regulatory environment for banks is a plus.
- Dynamic, analytical, entrepreneurial, creative, and able to multi-task under time constraints.
- Highly motivated and focused on delivering results.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Participation in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background & credit check
